Emily :
Emily Rose used to wait tables for a living but now she serves songs. An uncommon storyteller with twenty + years of shoulder pain to prove her guitar chops, her work is featured in PlayStation Four’s Detroit Become Human, and the film Welcome to Happiness.
She hosts a monthly series in her hometown of Detroit called Ghost Night which honors the legacy of departed songwriters.
Rose is currently in the studio working on her next release, a concept album about interspecies relationships.
Audra:
Award-winning singer/songwriter Audra Kubat has released 7 albums to critical acclaim in a career that spans over 30 years. A composer, performer, producer, and educator, Kubat’s work has earned her a place in the community as a resource for empowerment through songwriting and music. Her methods of composition articulate grace and uncover hidden places that defy easy categorization. An offering of stark and beautiful reality that possesses experience yet embraces the whimsical. Her activism in the arts has helped her develop strong relationships with community organizations across the region. Currently, she is the ECE Specialist for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She produces workshops for the Detroit Institute of Arts, where she will use songwriting as a conduit between visual art and the public. Kubat also works in Detroit Public Schools where she uses music to build new connections to learning.

What is Ghost Night? Myself, bassist Ozzie Andrews, and a rotating group of friends put on a show that honors a departed artist each month. We do a deep dive study of their music and legacy, adorn the stage, build an altar, and share a unique, once-in-lifetime magical experience. After a set of our interpretations, we take a 20 minute break, and return to play a set of original songs. It’s a room full of joy and connection
